3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, materials, dimensions, colours, prices, photographs, and other details as accurately as possible.

However:

  • Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and device display;

  • Handcrafted or hand-finished jewellery may have minor differences in finish, stone placement, texture, shape, or measurements;

  • Product photographs may not represent the exact scale of an item;

  • Packaging may occasionally vary from the images shown; and

  • Minor variations that do not materially affect the product’s appearance or use may not be considered defects.

The materials, plating, stones, finish, dimensions, and care instructions applicable to a product will be as stated on its product page or packaging.

Unless expressly described otherwise, products sold as imitation, fashion, gold-plated, silver-plated, one-gram gold, anti-tarnish, American Diamond, cubic zirconia, or similar jewellery are not solid gold, solid silver, diamonds, or other precious materials.

Product availability is not guaranteed. We may discontinue, modify, or limit quantities of a product without prior notice.

4. Jewellery Care and Use

Jewellery requires appropriate handling and care. Product life and finish may vary depending on usage, storage, skin chemistry, climate, and exposure to external substances.

Unless a product is specifically described as waterproof, customers should avoid exposing jewellery to:

  • Water and moisture;

  • Perfume and deodorant;

  • Makeup, creams, and cosmetics;

  • Sweat and excessive humidity;

  • Cleaning products and chemicals;

  • Chlorine and salt water; and

  • Excessive friction or impact.

Jewellery should be stored separately in a dry pouch or box.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper storage, misuse, discolouration caused by chemicals, and gradual fading of plating are not manufacturing defects unless a product warranty expressly states otherwise.

Customers with known metal sensitivities or allergies should review the product’s material information before purchase. Use should be discontinued if irritation occurs.

5. Prices and Taxes

All prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise.

Applicable taxes will be included in the displayed price or calculated at checkout, as required by law.

Shipping charges, Cash on Delivery charges, gift-wrapping fees, handling charges, or other applicable fees may be shown separately before you complete your purchase.

We reserve the right to change product prices, offers, and charges at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted by us, except where there is an obvious pricing or technical error.

6. Pricing and Listing Errors

Despite our reasonable efforts, a product may occasionally be listed with an incorrect price, description, discount, availability status, photograph, or other information due to a technical, typographical, or administrative error.

Where an error is discovered before an order is dispatched, we may:

  • Contact you for instructions;

  • Offer the product at the correct price;

  • Provide an alternative product; or

  • Cancel the affected order and issue a full refund of the amount received.

We are not required to fulfil an order at an obviously incorrect price where the pricing error should reasonably have been apparent.

7. Orders and Order Acceptance

Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order-confirmation message only confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

An order is considered accepted when:

  • We dispatch the product and send a dispatch confirmation; or

  • We otherwise expressly confirm acceptance of the order.

We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order for reasons including:

  • Product unavailability;

  • Pricing or listing errors;

  • Payment failure;

  • Incomplete or incorrect customer information;

  • Delivery restrictions;

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorised transactions;

  • Unusually large or repeated orders;

  • Suspected resale or commercial misuse; or

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel a prepaid order after receiving payment, the eligible amount will be refunded to the original payment method or through another mutually agreed method.

8. Personal-Use Purchases

Unless we expressly agree otherwise, products available on the website are intended for personal use and not for unauthorised resale, redistribution, reproduction, or commercial exploitation.

We may limit quantities or cancel orders that appear to have been placed by resellers, distributors, or persons purchasing products for unauthorised commercial purposes.

9. Payment

You agree to provide accurate and authorised payment information.

Available payment methods may include cards, UPI, net banking, wallets, Cash on Delivery, or other methods supported by our payment partners.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways. Your use of a third-party payment service may also be governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

We do not guarantee that every payment method will be available for every order or delivery location.

An order may be delayed or cancelled where:

  • Payment is declined;

  • Payment verification is unsuccessful;

  • The transaction is identified as potentially fraudulent; or

  • The payment provider does not confirm successful receipt of funds.

You are responsible for any charges imposed by your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution.

10. Cash on Delivery Orders

Cash on Delivery may be available only for eligible products, order values, customers, and delivery locations.

We may contact you to verify a Cash on Delivery order before dispatch.

We reserve the right to disable Cash on Delivery where:

  • Previous Cash on Delivery orders were repeatedly refused;

  • Delivery attempts were unsuccessful because of customer-related reasons;

  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected; or

  • The order or delivery location does not meet our eligibility requirements.

Any applicable Cash on Delivery fee will be displayed during checkout.

11. Discount Codes and Promotional Offers

Discount codes, coupons, store credits, gift cards, promotional offers, and rewards are subject to the conditions displayed with the relevant promotion.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Promotions cannot be combined;

  • Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • A discount must be applied before completing checkout;

  • Promotions may have minimum-order requirements;

  • Promotions may exclude selected products or collections;

  • Promotional benefits may be limited to one use per customer; and

  • Promotions may be modified or withdrawn before an order is placed.

Where an order placed using a promotional offer is partly returned, the refund will be recalculated based on the value of the products retained and the conditions of the offer.

Free gifts or complimentary products associated with a returned order may also need to be returned.

12. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and delivery are governed by our Shipping Policy and the delivery information displayed during checkout.

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.

Delivery may be affected by circumstances such as:

  • Public holidays;

  • Natural events;

  • Government restrictions;

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number, email address, and any delivery instructions.

We are not responsible for delays, non-delivery, or additional charges arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Risk of loss or damage will pass in accordance with applicable law and the delivery arrangements communicated for the order.

13. Failed and Refused Deliveries

Where delivery is unsuccessful because:

  • The address supplied is incorrect or incomplete;

  • The customer or recipient is unavailable;

  • The customer refuses the package;

  • The courier is unable to contact the recipient;

  • Access to the delivery location is restricted; or

  • Repeated delivery attempts fail for customer-related reasons,

the order may be returned to us.

Any refund for such an order may be subject to deductions for reasonable forward-shipping, return-shipping, Cash on Delivery, handling, or other costs actually incurred, to the extent permitted by law.

A reshipping charge may apply where the customer asks us to dispatch the order again.

14. Order Cancellations

You may request cancellation before an order has been dispatched by emailing info@thehouseofsaaj.com.

A cancellation request is not confirmed until we acknowledge and approve it.

Once an order has been dispatched, it generally cannot be cancelled. You may receive the order and request a return in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

We may cancel an order because of product unavailability, payment issues, incorrect information, suspected fraud, listing errors, delivery restrictions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Eligible refunds for cancelled prepaid orders will be processed in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

15. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, damaged-product claims, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our 7-Day Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

All products are eligible for return within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions described in that policy.

In case of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Return and Refund Policy on a return or refund matter, the Return and Refund Policy will apply, subject to applicable law.

16. Reviews, Comments, and User Content

You may be permitted to submit reviews, photographs, comments, feedback, suggestions, testimonials, or other content.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You created the content or have permission to use it;

  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge;

We may moderate, reject, edit, or remove user content that violates these Terms or applicable law. We are not obligated to publish every review or comment received.

We will not knowingly alter a genuine customer review in a manner that changes its material meaning.

  • Product names;

  • Photographs;

  • Illustrations;

22. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The House of Saaj will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or products where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable.

Where liability may lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability arising from an order will ordinarily not exceed the amount paid by you for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • Deliberate misconduct;

  • Personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be excluded;

  • Defective products where liability is imposed by law;

  • Breach of statutory consumer rights; or
